Christ Death

Christ died to glorify God the Father. What a awesome thought. All the time that Jesus was on earth His main goal was not only to commune with the Father but to Glorify Him. In the book of Gensis it tells us that we were created to glorify God. May our lived reflect this alway.

My prayer today is that I would Glorify My Father in Heaven and other might see and come to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus.

Awesome God

What an awesome God we serve. These past few days I have come to realize that our lives must be transparent. People must see our works to see Christ in us. Matt.6:33 says it well. Our light must shine so others will see our good works and glorify our Father in Heaven. That means we must be transparent. Stand for what we believe, tell others, and be good witnesses for His Glory!

We visited some Christian friends last night. They have an exchange student living with them from Thailand. She is not a christen and has no interest in it. Our world is filled with people that have no interest in God, the the way of Salvation which is Christ Jesus. I am the way the truth and the life no man comes to the Father but by me. John 14:6

With Christ you have life eternally with Him without Christ you have life eternally separated in the lake of fire. If you know the way of salvation and have rejected I believe that in the day of judgment that your punishment will be more severe than if you did not know, because you knew and turned away from the truth.

May our live be transparent so others will see Christ and live with Him eternally.

Too Long

It's been too long since I have gotten to write about our Bible lessons. We are still studying the same book of the Bible. There is so much and it is so rich with truths from God's Word. One thing that keeps coming back to my mind is how God foretold that someday there would be a man that would be a prophet, priest and king that was our Lord Jesus Christ. How God has blinded the Jews eyes but someday maybe soon He will open their eyes and they will be able to see and they will come to Him for salvation. What a glorious picture and time that will be. The celebration that will take place in Heaven oh my what a day that will be. Until then we must pray for their salvation and for the peace of Jerusalem.

Gensis

We finished the book of Genesis and have started on Zechariah. Genesis has some wonderful lessons in it. First was the life of Joseph. He never saw things in his life as bad but everything was due to God and is program. When Jacob died the brothers that had treated him so badly were afraid that he would take revenge on them. But his reply to them. Was God had sent him ahead of them to perserve life and of course the nation of Israel. I think about how many times I complain which is a sin its self and how good my life is. My prayer is that what ever God does in my life I will give Him the Praise and the Glory for all of it. Prov 3:5,6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not into your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He shall direct your path." That is what Joseph did may that be my prayer daily.

Minor Prophets

Today we started thru the book of Habbahuk and how he wondered what God was doing because he knew that the Northern and Southern Kingdoms where not worshiping the true and living God. They were worshiping idols and pride had entered into their lives and that is the one thing that God hates the most. Read Prov. 6: 16 and following. When God revealed what He was going to do and who He was going to use Habbahuk could not believe that God would do that. But in the end he praised God because he knew that God is Righteous and His judgements are always right. As we look at our America today how can we not help but see God's judgement on this land. We have become a nation that is rebellious against everything that God stands for. Even the churches that are suppose to be preaching God's Word are not doing it properly. May God have mercy on us that are true believers and may we keep Him Christ first in our lives. Matt. 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. These things are all the things that we need not what we want. Lam. 3:23 His Mercies are new every morning.

How our Lord Blesses

We are reading thru the book of Gensis and how the Lord blessed Abraham and his decedents. Now and for the future. What a promise that is yet to be fulfilled and to think that God in all his wisdom included me and the rest who have made Jesus the Lord of their lives. Thank you God for your wonderful provision of salvation!

Weather has been just great!

His mercies are new every morning

Today we read about Abraham how he lied to King Amelich about Sarah being his sister. When the king took her into his harem God sent a dream to him and told him that Sarah was not his sister but his wife. But God had closed up all the wombs of the kings house so Sarah was protected. When Sarah was returned to Abraham the king gave him gifts and sent him on his way. The in the following chapter you read that Isaac was born. Again God's mercies. What a wonderful God we serve.

Weather today and since we arrived in Benson has been beautiful. In the 60's most of the days and in the 20"s at night.
